Today marked the unveiling of a game called Morning Star, the fist game from developer Industrial Toys. We have to say, for a first game from a studio, Morning Star is looking mighty polished already.

The game is a science fiction-themed shooter that's supposed to reinvent everything we know about first person shooter games. Re-invent the FPS? Well you certainly have our attention, Industrial Toys. According to the new studio, the game will be a, "re-imagining of the sci-fi shooter for touch." But that doesn't mean that it will be dumbed-down or anything. The creators want hardcore gamers to play and enjoy Morning Star.

The story takes place in the year 2132. You play Charlie Campbell, who has just found himself getting off on the surface of Titan, one of Saturn's moons. Campbell is there to respond to what is believed to be an alien SOS signal, only it's not a call for help. Before you know it, Campbell is teleported to an alien world and finds himself surrounded by hostiles.

We like the setup of this game so far. The story is a nice mix up of other franchises, such as Half-Life, Doom, and the Alien movies. There's no real indication of how the game will play or what the controls will be like. But if it's anywhere near as polished as the trailer looks, then Morning Star will likely be pretty, pretty, pretty good.
