Prepare your eyes for a throwback look, because NIntendo is unleashing two new "Crystal" designs for the 2DS.

Nintendo has announced that they will be launching two new 2DS designs on Nov. 21, 2014. Launching alongside Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be the Crystal Red and Crystal Blue Nintendo 2DS systems, both selling for $99.99 and rocking semi-transparent designs, reminiscent of the Atomic Purple controller for the Nintendo 64.

It's a good move to launch these new designs with the new Pokemon games, especially since the 2DS is specifically geared to welcome younger kids and newcomers to the world of handheld gaming. The 2DS comes with most of the same bells and whistles of the original 3DS, except without the need to see everything in stereoscopic 3D. Though it's without a hinged, clamshell design, it still features touch-screen controls, StreetPass, Miiverse and online functionality.

Look out for these see-through, cake slice-like devices on Nov. 21, 2014.
