NECA Shows Off More of its Massive Master Chief
In the world of action figures, Master Chief has joined luminaries like Iron Man, Wolverine, Batman, Snake Eyes and Mario as one of the most frequently re-made characters. Since 2003, the Halo protagonist has been the subject of countless articulated action figures, statues, busts and other collectibles, making him one of the most recognizable "faces" on store shelves. The newest plastic incarnation of Master Chief comes from NECA, and just might be the biggest and best version of the iconic hero to date.
NECA’s Master Chief figure stands a whopping 18 inches tall, towering over all previous versions of the character. Sculpted from the original digital model, the figure will feature over 30 points of articulation and in-game accessories like the MA37 Assault Rifle and M6 Pistol. With its massive size, the Master Chief figure has plenty of room for fine sculpting, and NECA is taking full advantage. The character’s iconic armor is presented in incredible detail, with every millimeter covered in tiny bits of techno-kibble.
The figure is still in an early prototype phase, and is subject to change, but the early images show an impressive toy that’s sure to make collectors and Halo fans salivate. No release date or price has been announced, but online retailers are already listing pre-orders at around $90. We've included some images of the figure below, but plenty more can be found on NECA's site.
