2K has launched a new trailer for NBA 2K16, showcasing legendary filmmaker Spike Lee's contributions to the game's MyCAREER Mode.

The sports game gurus at 2K have announced that NBA 2K16's cover athlete spot was given to three talented players. This year, 2K is giving you a cover insert that lets you choose between Stephen Curry, James Harden and Anthony Davis for your game's box art. 2K also confirmed that Spike Lee is writing and directing NBA 2K16's MyCAREER mode.

“Partnering with legendary 2K and Visual Concepts is one of the most unique challenges I’ve had in filmmaking, and allows me to push the boundaries of innovative storytelling,” said Spike Lee. “My hope is fans will feel even more connected to the world of basketball in NBA 2K16.”

Lee is known for writing and directing the classic, basketball-oriented film, He Got Game. He is also a die hard fan of the New York Knicks. Lee's production company, 40 Acres and a Mule, will be producing the game's story mode, which will tell an original story of an athlete's rise to fame that utilizes NBA 2K16's gameplay.

“Working with Spike Lee on NBA2K16’s MyCAREER has elevated our most popular game experience from both a visual and narrative perspective,” said Greg Thomas, President, Visual Concepts. “By writing and directing the MyCAREER storyline, Spike brings the real world experience of the NBA to life like never before making NBA 2K16 the ultimate simulation.”

NBA 2K16 will debut on Sept. 29 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One,PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Pre-ordering NBA 2K16 will allow you to get the full game on Sept. 25.
