Naughty Dog let us in to see all the amazing details that have gone into redesigning Nathan Drake in his PS4 debut in Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.

This Naughty Dog panel from the PlayStation Experience focused on the changes and details that have gone into giving Nathan Drake a makeover for the PlayStation 4, IGN reports. Listening to Colin Thomas, Uncharted 4's Character Artist, explain how the design teams built Drake's model is interesting, especially considering the massive level of detail being added going from Uncharted 3 to 4.

"A lot of that stuff we were definitely able to handle in shader as opposed to sculpting it into the high res. And that helped a lot to maintain, from as he goes in-game to cinematic, the same level of detail. So, nothing drops in terms of detail level once he gets into the game," Thomas said.

The panel, made up of shading, concept and character artists, zeroed in on how they were going to go about bringing Nathan Drake to the PlayStation 4 and ways they could use the console's power to make him look and move even better. The team seems to be focusing on every little detail from his fabric texture in his shirts to, "making sure his costumes were contemporary enough to not be noticed."
