Black Tusk's studio manager has stepped forward to say that the rumored Gears of War: Marcus Fenix Collection or any other kind of COG-filled Xbox One anthology isn't happening, but he did hint towards something a lot more interesting.

Black Tusk's studio manager, Rod Ferguson, has revealed on Twitter that there isn't any kind of Gears of War HD remaster collection or a definitive edition set coming to the Xbox One. Fortunately, his comments did allude to an extraordinary revelation: Black Tusk Studios is working on multiple Gears of War projects. Meaning the fabled Gears of War 4, or whatever the current-gen GOW game will be titled, is not the only franchise game the studio has in development.

"I love the passion, but there's no Marcus Fenix Collection." Ferguson Tweeted. "We ARE working on other exciting Gears projects. I'll see you at E3!"

That's right — "projects," as in plural. More than one Gears of War project is in development at Black Tusk since Epic Games sold the franchise off to Microsoft, who then handed the reins to Ferguson and his team. So what could Ferguson and Black Tusk Studios be making other than the next big Gears title and the not-happening anthology? We'll just have to wait until E3 2015 this June to see what Black Tusk has up its Locust-filled sleeves. All we're saying is that it better have more Cole Train and more Carmine. And we're praying it's not just another mobile game.
