This isn't a Babality — Mortal Kombat X is shrinking down so you can get bloody on your tablet or mobile device.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that a new portal to Outworld has appeared as Mortal Kombat X gets a release for iPad, iPhone, iPod touch and Android devices. This portable version of the Shaolin-slayer is going to feature the series' trademark fighting combos along with a few trading card game aspects. You must collect cards, make a team, fight, perform Fatalties and do all sorts of things to save Earthrealm. As with its console counterparts, the mobile version of MKX will feature Brutalities, x-ray attacks and more.

“NetherRealm Studios has created a Mortal Kombat X mobile experience that allows more players than ever before to play this over-the-top fighting game through their ever-present smartphones, tablets or other devices,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “What’s more, we’ve expanded the unique cross-connectivity feature that links the mobile and console versions of Mortal Kombat X, delivering unique rewards to all players for simply playing the mobile game.”

Mortal Kombat X will debut on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The iOS and Android versions of Mortal Kombat X will debut in April as well, but NetherRealm Studios has yet to give a finalized release date for this Fatality-filled fighter. The mobile version of MKX will be able to sync up with the console or PC version of the game to unlock content on both formats via a WB Play account. Based on previous NetherRealm titles, we have a feeling you'll be able to unlock a few costumes and achievements for the console version of the game by playing the mobile version.
