After a series of teases throughout Ed Boon's social media accounts, Mortal Kombat X has been finally announced with an amazing trailer featuring its new bone-cracking gameplay mechanics.

NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive have unveiled the latest incarnation of the most brutal fighting franchise in gaming history with this new trailer for Mortal Kombat X. Based on the gameplay of the trailer, MKX is shaping up to be quite the successor to the 2011 reboot of the franchise. As Wiz Khalifa's "Can't Be Stopped" booms throughout the trailer, we see series figureheads Scorpion and Sub-Zero duke it out in Mortal Kombat's signature, bloody glory. There are plenty of new gameplay mechanics to be told by this video, such as dynamic camera angles during special attacks along with the ability to grab a hold of your opponent and keep pummeling them before they break free.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios has announced that Mortal Kombat X will be coming to PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlaySTation 4 in 2015. The description for this Mortal Kombat X trailer claims that MK X will be "fueled by next-gen technology," suggesting that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the game would be the most optimal versions of the game to playing. We also expect Ed Boon and the rest of NetherRealm Studios to have some sort of demo of the game next week at E3.
