The worlds of Borderlands, Sonic the Hedgehog and Smite invade MomoCon 2015, as Gearbox Software, Hi-Rez Studios and Sega will be in attendance.

MomoCon, the largest gaming expo in the Southeast United States, has announced Sega, Gearbox Software and Hi-Rez Studios will have their own panels at the event, as well as a list of over 130 exhibitors showing their wares throughout the four-day extravaganza. Gearbox will host "Borderlands: Behind The Characters" which promises to offer insight on the many faces of Pandora, while Sega's "Sega 3D Classics" will focus on the many updated versions of their best games from yesteryear. The current art director of thatgamecompany, Ke "Jacky" Jiang, will be hosting his own panel chronicling his Journey from art design at Disney to the prominent indie developer.

Among the list of exhibitors are Smite creators Hi-Rez Studios, another indie powerhouse in Vlambeer (Ridiculous Fishing, Luftrausers), and Sega, who we assume will be showcasing some of the 3D Classics they plan to discuss in their panel among other games. Here's hoping for a playable demo of Tembo the Badass Elephant.

It sounds like those attending MomoCon are in for quite a smorgasbord of video game features at this year's convention, though we don't expect any major news or announcements to come out of it. The event does fall in close proximity to E3 in Los Angeles, and we expect that major studio announcements will wait the extra two weeks or so, but we'd be happy to be proven wrong.

MomoCon 2015 takes place May 28-31 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
