As baseball fans anxiously await the release of MLB 15 The Show, Sony's put out a new trailer to try and quench that thirst.

The trailer shows a few things to note that players can expect -- items, players and plays. A big thing that Sony San Diego has been reiterating in all of its updates is the range of officially licensed brands that will be showing up in the game including Franklin, Louisville Slugger, Nike, Under Armour, Wilson, Rawlings, Sam Bat, Mizuno and Marucci. The developers are really proud of how much time and effort have been put into customizing items within the game. With that level of detail, players can make sure that not only are they playing their favorite players, but they're playing their favorite players decked out in the exact glove, cleats, helmet and bat used in real life.

In the trailer above, you can see some of the on-field action that showcases some of the presentation improvements brought about for this year's iteration. So much of the trailer takes place during the day, giving us a good idea of the new lighting effects present. Last year's PlayStation 4 debut looked sharp, but it looks like Sony San Diego is taking things up a few notches with more detail and more action between the lines.

Fans can expect the game to come out for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on March 31, and will have two different versions to choose from -- the regular version and the Anniversary Edition.
