Already a tremendous simulation experience, the team at Sony San Diego is taking MLB 13: The Show's Franchise mode to a whole new level this year.

In the latest video development blog for MLB 13: The Show, we're given a look at all the changes coming to the annual sports title's Franchise mode. The Show has always been a menu-dense experience, and this year it appears a lot of the old management options for roster control and training is being streamlined to be more efficient and easier to manage.

There are numerous improvements coming to the free agent and drafting portions of the season, including better scouting and better tracking of what other CPU teams are doing. It's a lot to take in, but longtime fans and newcomers should find plenty to like about the way Sony San Diego is attempting to make Franchise mode a little less daunting, and thus more enjoyable for everyone.

MLB 13: The Show will be available on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on March 5th.

Check out the video below, and let us know which team you'll be taking to the World Series in the comments.
