Get those rigs ready, because the minimum PC requirements for Watch Dogs have been revealed.

The requirements were posted to the game's Steam listing and offer players a glimpse of what they'll need to successfully run through Aiden Pearce's adventures in Chicago.

Players hoping to run Watch Dogs at minimum specs will need the following:

  • OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Please note that we only support 64 bit OSs.)
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 @ 2.66Ghz or AMD Phenom II X4 940 @ 3.0Ghz
  • Memory: 6 GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 1 GB Video RAM - Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5770
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 25 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest Drivers
  • Additional Notes: Broadband connection and service required for multiplayer mode. Supported Video Cards at Time of Release: nVidia GeForce GTX460 or better, GT500, GT600, GT700 series; AMD Radeon HD5850 or better, HD6000, HD7000, R7 and R9 series Intel® Iris™ Pro HD 5200
25GB of hard drive space might not seem too bad, especially since the recent first-person shooter, Titanfall, took a solid 50GB to install. Just keep in mind that the minimum requirements above will mean that you'll be able to run the game, but just don't expect to play with full shadows, high physics and detailed textures if you barely meet the specs.
The recommended specs for more fluid play are as follows:
  • OS: Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1) or Windows 8 (Please note that we only support 64 bit OSs.)
  • Processor: Eight core - Intel Core i7-3770 @3.5 GHz or AMD FX-8350 X8 @ 4 GHz
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: DirectX 11 graphics card with 2 GB Video RAM - Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 ti or AMD Radeon HD 7850
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Hard Drive: 25 GB available space
  • Sound Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card with Latest Drivers
  • Additional Notes: Broadband connection and service required for multiplayer mode. Supported Video Cards at Time of Release: nVidia GeForce GTX460 or better, GT500, GT600, GT700 series; AMD Radeon HD5850 or better, HD6000, HD7000, R7 and R9 series Intel® Iris™ Pro HD 5200
Compare what you have with your machine and good luck trying to run Watch Dogs on PC when it's released on May 27, also for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, with a Wii U version being released later in the year.
