If Beck from Mighty No. 9 is the spiritual successor to Mega Man, then Call would be his Roll.

The Kickstarter page for Mighty No. 9 has revealed some new gameplay footage showing the latest build of this beautiful side-scroller along with a new playable character. Mighty No. 9 is Mega Man co-creator Keiji Inafune's long awaited return to the side-scrolling platform genre since he left Capcom after over 23 years with the company. This new gameplay video features absolutely stunning gameplay from Mighty No. 2 and 5's stages.

The Mighty No. 9 Kickstarter previously reached its stretch goal of a new character, resulting in a playable version of Call being added to the game. Comcept has also unveiled her new redesign, changing her quite a bit from her original concept art. Call is the female companion robot to Beck, Mighty No. 9's protagonist (get it? call and beckon). Just as Roll was to Mega Man, Call doesn't have all of Beck's abilities. For example, instead of dashing, Call can crawl and is wearing a jet pack to help her traverse long jumps. We can't wait to see her in actual gameplay.
