Some crafty, first-person shooter loving PC modders put their heads together, and have come up with a way for Metal Gear Solid fans to play Ground Zeroes from an FPS perspective.

Metal Gear Solid has always been a third-person shooter, but now Kotaku reports that there are some people that got a little tired of it and made it a first-person shooter instead. There are still some glitches to be worked out, but compared to the in-game version that prefers looking at Snake's butt than the action, it's basically a miracle. This mod is specifically for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prequel to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Now, the question is if the modders will take to their coding again to make it for the next installment -- Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which (hopefully) comes out sometime in 2015.

For now, you can check out and download the mod here for Ground Zeroes or, if you don't feel like messing around with a bunch of files, check out an example in the video above.
