Hideo Kojima takes us through all sorts of new features in this gameplay demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, including changing your outfit, rock climbing, sniper support, the Active Decoy item and Snake's taser-like Stun Arm.

Konami's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain presentation from the 2014 Tokyo Game Show brought about many changes and left us eagerly awaiting Big Boss' return. The gameplay starts with Punished Snake being dropped off in what appears to be a South American jungle. We should note that Snake's artificial arm is a different color than the red and black prosthetic we saw him have in all of the previous footage of MGS V, marking the debut of his Steelers-colored limb. Starting off the mission shirtless, Snake called for a Mother Base equipment drop. Upon opening the box, we were absolutely shocked to see Big Boss donning the same type of Sneaking Suit Solid Snake wore in the original Metal Gear Solid.

Snake showed off the new Active Decoy, which is a disc-like object that instantly becomes an inflatable version Big Boss. You can use it to distract soldiers. One interesting application of the Active Decoy was to throw it behind an enemy who is standing at the edge of a cliff. Snake was also able to call in Quiet, the mute female sniper we have seen in the game's previous trailers. She has the ability to cloak her body and stay hidden, offering expert sniper support whenever Snake needs it. Watching Big Boss throw a grenade in the air and Quiet shooting it to knock its trajectory right into a chopper was amazing.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch sometime in 2015 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

That new sneaking suit looks perfect to wear during the morning commute.
