Every Metal Gear Solid game created will be available in one collection this June when Konami and Kojima Productions release the Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Edition for the PlayStation 3.

Metal Gear fans are a peculiar bunch, but they're a group of devoted admirers of both the style and substance of one of the longest-running video game franchises of the past fifteen years. As the MGS series has been so successful, and a new entry is just around the corner, Konami will be releasing all six games in one giant bundle of awesome known as Metal Gear Solid: The Legacy Edition.

The set will include the PlayStation game that started it all, Metal Gear Solid, PlayStation 2 hits Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3 (both in HD), PSP entry Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the Trophy edition of Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions from the PlayStation. As an added incentive, this set will also include digital versions of the two Ashley Wood graphic novels based on Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2.

"We wanted to give Metal Gear Solid fans the opportunity to experience the series from beginning to end, all on one console," said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "With the collection's multiple titles, players can truly see how Metal Gear Solid evolved into the critically acclaimed and beloved franchise it is today."
