Hideo Kojima has aired a 30 minute gameplay demo of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and it's filled with boxes, flying sheep, CQC, horse droppings and an expansive look at Big Boss' Mother Base.

On the latest episode of Hideo Kojima's weekly Konami webcast, 'Kojima Station,' we got to see 30 minutes of gameplay from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and it is absolutely glorious. The demo starts off with a scene from the E3 2013 trailer. Revolver Ocelot sends off Big Boss on a mission to rescue Kazuhira Miller. The environments of Afghanistan are perfectly rendered by Kojima Productions and your approach to rescuing Miller are at your own discretion. The level itself is completely open world and much more expansive than the prison facility stage from Ground Zeroes. Watch as Snake has fun with the Fulton surface-to-air recovery system, sending cargo, human beings and sheep back to his headquarters. You also get a glimpse at Big Boss' ever-expanding Mother Base towards the end of the footage.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will emerge from its box on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime in 2015.
