Next year, Mercedes will release the Mercedes-AMG GT, an elite twin-turbo V8 sports car that’s set to compete with the likes of Porsche and Ferrari. Before the actual car debuts at the Paris Auto Show, the AMG will be playable in PS4’s Driveclub.

Right after Driveclub’s launch, the Mercedes-AMG GT will be available via a DLC pack. Mercedes’ Volker Zaiss made the announcement on the Sony Blog, stating that developer Evolution Studios has, “been able to replicate the car in astonishing detail.” With a predicted price tag around $145,000, the GT may be out of the price range of the average gamer, but fortunately, the DLC is free.

The Mercedes-AMG GT will join at least 45 vehicles on the Driveclub roster, including world-class supercars like the 720 HP Ferrari 599XX, the $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador and the exotic McLaren P1 hybrid.

The Sony Blog also announces a Mercedes-themed competition at Journeyofstars.com. The website lets players choose from the various Mercedes vehicles from Driveclub, including the Mercedes-AMG GT, SLS AMG Coupe Black Series, SL 65 AMG, C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series, CLA 45 AMG, and A 45 AMG. Players can then build their club, invite friends, and compete for the overall top ranking. Make sure to sign up for the contest before Driveclub’s October 7 release on PlayStation 4.
