Meet Sticks, the Newest Cast Member of the Sonic Boom Crew

Move over 'Breaking Bad,' Sonic Boom has introduced us to our new favorite badger character.

Sega has announced that Sticks the jungle badger will be added to the main roster of Sonic Boom. Sticks, her boomerang and her wild personality will be joining the likes of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy as the core team of this newest Sonic game. Story-wise, Sticks is Amy's best friend, but Sonic, Tails and Knuckles hardly know her. Based on Sticks' kooky personality and her Luna Lovegood-like outlook on life, we're sure that the Sonic squad will think she's a little bit odd, but will still embrace her as a member of the group nonetheless.

Sticks is a bit more feral and unpredictable than Knuckles and the rest of the team, but she will prove to be quite as useful. While a release window has yet to be seen, Sonic Boom will launch exclusively for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Sonic Boom will act as prequel to the animated TV series of the same name which is expected to run from late 2014 through 2015. Sonic Boom is going to be the third and final game in Nintendo's exclusivity agreement with Sega. After Sonic Boom, we can expect to see the Blue Blur on non-Nintendo consoles in a few years.
