BioWare Montreal has done something very special and wonderful to help two lovebirds get engaged.

A recent blog entry by BioWare tells the beautiful story of Jackie and Amy's wedding proposal. Jackie contacted BioWare Montreal's studio for help proposing to Amy. BioWare Montreal tossed around ideas of how to help Jackie deliver the big question. Given that both Jackie and Amy are huge fans of Mass Effect, BioWare did something amazing to help make its biggest dialogue option of all time..

BioWare created a custom Mass Effect level completely rendered in the Frostbite 3 engine (which was used for Dragon Age: Inquisition and will be used for the fourth Mass Effect game). The studio sent letters to Jackie and Amy claiming they were winners of a contest to tryout the fourth game. The entire custom demo contained small references to their relationship so far and was built so that Amy couldn't die or have to start over. The level had Amy playing as a custom N7 character investigating a drone manufacturing lab.

BioWare's other programmers and writers played through the level multiple times to make sure the secret wasn't delivered to soon or obviously. Amy's character eventually reached a room that had her and Jackie's names spray-painted on a wall with a lone computer console in front of it.

The computer console's message in the game read as follows:

Dear Amy, Jackie would like to ask you something.

Love, All of us at BioWare

While Amy was reading, Jackie dropped to one knee, took out a ring, and proposed once Amy turned away from the screen.

Amy said yes. Bravo BioWare, bravo.
