Mass Effect 3: Citadel Soundtrack Is Free for Game Owners

It's great that BioWare has offered up its Mass Effect 3: Citadel soundtrack as a free download. However, it's only free to owners of the actual game.

On BioWare's social network site, the company states that, "The Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack is a free download for owners of the Collector's Edition (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC) or Digital Deluxe (PC) versions of Mass Effect 3."

Earlier reports had BioWare offering the soundtrack up for free to anyone who could download the tunes, but that just isn't the case. However, having Sam Hulick, Cris Velasco, and Sasha Dikiciyan create 20 new tracks for The Citadel is proof that BioWare wanted to give a little bit extra to Mass Effect's loyal fans.

The Citadel, Mass Effect 3's final downloadable content, was released last week and gave fans a fitting farewell to Commander Shepard and the rest of the squad, as they all head out into the inevitable.
