Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move Dated for US Release

Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, the fifth game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, was recently dated for a U.S. release. It will be heading exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 9^th, 2013 in the U.S. This information comes directly from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata himself from the last Nintendo Direct event. Details on a European and Japanese release are still fuzzy.

The gameplay remains consistent with prior titles, asking the player to arrange blocks on a board to allow little walking robots to safely reach a goal. The game will feature over 180 of these puzzle style levels, which now exist in a variety of 2D and 3D environments.

Minis on the Move will also introduce more active levels that feature mini-games outside of the puzzle contest such as shooting robots out of a cannon, or controlling a mini-Mario directly in a traditional Super Mario Brothers type stage.
