Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move, the fifth game in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series, was recently dated for a U.S. release. It will be heading exclusively to the Nintendo 3DS eShop on May 9th, 2013 in the U.S. This information comes directly from Nintendo President Satoru Iwata himself from the last Nintendo Direct event. Details on a European and Japanese release are still fuzzy.

The gameplay remains consistent with prior titles, asking the player to arrange blocks on a board to allow little walking robots to safely reach a goal. The game will feature over 180 of these puzzle style levels, which now exist in a variety of 2D and 3D environments.

Minis on the Move will also introduce more active levels that feature mini-games outside of the puzzle contest such as shooting robots out of a cannon, or controlling a mini-Mario directly in a traditional Super Mario Brothers type stage.
