Madden NFL Cover Vote Heads To Semifinals With A Trio Of Running Backs

The semifinal matchups for the Madden NFL 25 Cover Vote has been announced, and three of the finalists are running backs! In the Old School bracket, Barry Sanders will take on wide receiver Jerry Rice, with the New School bracket yielding a backfield showdown between Arian Foster and Adrian Peterson.

Adrian Peterson apparently has a ton of Minnesota Vikings fans, as he took 70% of the vote against his previous round battle with injured quarterback Robert Griffin III. Houston Texans star Arian Foster narrowly beat quarterback Russell Wilson as he received 52% of the vote. Barry Sanders, considered to be one of the greatest running backs of all time, is happy to be advancing to the next round.

Fans can cast their votes at ESPN.com/MaddenVote, and to date the competition has received over 37.1 million votes. The winning athlete will be named on SportsNation on Wednesday, April 25th.
