Many of you have probably never heard of Team Spooky before. He is a prominent name in the fighting game community, and is a well-known streamer that shows up to several professional events. Now, he will be much more than a prominent face in the fighting game community, as he is officially teaming up with Mad Catz, one of the most well-known producers of peripherals and video game controllers.

The official announcement made at PAX East said that Mad Catz will actually be sponsoring Spooky. Unfortunately, details about the sponsorship deal are not yet clear. For now, we don’t know if this will effect Spooky’s normal streaming schedule or not. We also don’t know if it will affect the types of games that Spooky will be able to stream. Mad Catz has a good history with the players and teams it sponsors so its likely that this will not be the case, but it’s still a possibility.

At the very least, this may mean that Mad Catz will be paying Spooky’s way to go to high profile tournaments like EVO, which means that Spooky’s stream will become more consistently professional. Hopefully this partnership ends up working out for both of them.
