TT Games has announced the popular Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be coming to the Wii U.

Though it arrived last summer on the Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 consoles, TT Games has apparently also been working to make the game compatible with the Wii U. Due out this spring, the Wii U version will feature all the trademark action and humor featured in the original version, as well as offering off-TV mode for play on the Gamepad. When playing in off-TV mode, a second player can use the TV as a second character so each user will have their own screen to play on.

Lego Batman 2 has already sold more than 3.4 million copies across all platforms, and its arrival on the Wii U should benefit new console owners and those who still haven't picked up the game. There's no word if the Wii U version will come at a reduced price, or when in the spring Lego Batman 2 will actually drop, but more Lego games are always a good thing.
