The maestro of the Metal Gear series has chimed in about the length of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain.

IGN reported that Hideo Kojima has stated that the story for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be "more than 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes." While people have been criticizing the revelation that Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is only a prologue to the The Phantom Pain and reportedly only has a two hour-long campaign, Kojima is still confident that Ground Zeroes will impress.

"It's not about clearing the story... it's about discovering new elements, new routes, new ways to play." Kojima explained. Kojima is also worried that people may complain that The Phantom Pain is simply too massive for them to clear.

Courtousy of All Games Beta, we now also have higher quality screenshots of the PlayStation 4 version of Ground Zeroes featured in Japan's Weekly Famitsu, which we reported on last week. These screenshots clarify that the picture of Psycho Mantis we featured was indeed of his look from the first Metal Gear Solid title, making it more likely that it was taken from the 'Deja Vu' downloadable content exclusive for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Big Boss returns to active duty on March 18 in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
