The real father of Big Boss has chimed in to let us know why he is so excited about Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes.

This developer diary focuses on gaming mastermind Hideo Kojima as he discusses the things that went into the creation of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes. Kojima explains that the new in-game iDROID app will contain Snake's radio and map system. When using the iDROID, the game won't pause, forcing Snake to be weary of his environments whenever he stops for intel. The smartphone/tablet companion app will also display this information onto whatever smart device you have available.

Kojima explains that the Share feature of the PlayStation 4 is a great ability to help other players see the numerous ways they are able to tackle Metal Gear Solid 5's open world. He anticipates that there will be videos that show guns-blazing action, ignoring the laws of stealth, while others will be fully covert played by masters of espionage. Nevertheless, he knows that there will be plenty of over-the-top recorded footage that will be shared online and will enlighten players to the numerous methods of approach to every mission in MGS 5.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, the prologue to The Phantom Pain, will debut on March 18 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Stay tuned as we should have our review for Ground Zeroes sometime next week.
