Hideo Kojima might not be done with one of the most memorable characters in Metal Gear Solid lore, as he thinks there's potential in a spin-off focusing on The Boss.

“I may make more spin-offs, possibly with The Boss, which is something I personally want to do," Kojima told VG247 in a recent interview. "But it’s not something I will make a habit of."

Kojima recently teamed with Platinum Games to create the Raiden-centric spin-off Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and is currently at work himself on Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes. Just when he'd have the time to develop a new solo game for The Boss is a big question, though devoted fans of the franchise would likely wait an eternity for another game starring such a memorable antagonist.

Just thinking about a Metal Gear game set during the second World War, or even earlier, has our heart pumping. Fortunately, until that day, we'll still have Revengeance and Ground Zeroes (whenever that arrives), to tide us over.

What would you like to see from a MGS game starring The Boss?
