The heiress to the Kanzuki Zaibatsu conglomerate returns. That's right, Karin is back and bringing her posh fighting style to Street Fighter V.

Karin Kazuki is officially back for the fight. Capcom announced at the Tokyo Game Show that Karin is now a part of Street Fighter V's roster. The prissy fighter always scored high on Capcom's character popularity polls, so it makes sense that they'd bring her back. We see that the character has grown somewhat since we saw her in Street Fighter Alpha 3, as she no longer wears her sailor fuku school girl outfit, but now wears something similar. Karin has all kinds of strikes ready for multiple situations. She also has a new dash move that lets her close distances fairly quickly.

Street Fighter V will be launching with 16 characters on its starting roster according to Capcom, which should include four new fighters. We've got Rashid and Necalli confirmed as two of those new characters, and the other two new characters are rumored to be a Brazilian brawler called Laura and an Indian fighter named Zen. Street Fighter IV started off with a roster of 19 core fighters: Abel, C. Viper, Rufus, El Fuerte, Seth, Gouken, Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, E. Honda, Blanka, Zangief, Guile, Dhalsim, Balrog, Vega, Sagat, M. Bison and Akuma.

Karin joins the list of Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Birdie, Cammy, M. Bison, Nash, Necalli, Vega, R. Mika and Rashid for confirmed SFV characters. There are only two classic characters and two new fighters left to meet. I've got my money on Urien and Alex. I have a feeling Capcom will release more classic SFII characters as some kind of future DLC.

Street Fighter V will launch in the spring of 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PC with cross-play functionality between the two.
