Just before the holidays, we posted that the XBLA hit Joe Danger would still be coming to iOS, despite the lengthy amount of time it has been since it was first announced. Well, we now have some more confirmation on that.

In an interview with the website CVG, Sean Murray of Hello Games has confirmed that Joe Danger will indeed be out later on this month as Joe Danger Touch. In addition, it won't be a port, but rather a proper follow-up to the two existing Joe Danger titles. Perhaps that's why it's taken them a bit to get it ready for the tracks.

According to Murray:

I don't think Joe Danger Touch feels like anything else I've played. I want it to feel like it could only work on iOS, because we've built it specifically for the device. Playtesters keep telling me it's a nice blend of their other favorite games on iPhone - Bike Baron, Jetpack Joyride, and Rayman Jungle Run. Usually that would really wind me up, but I kind of see it as a compliment here, that Joe Danger feels at home on iOS, and is being compared to some of the best games on the device.

We'll be sure to let you know more about this upcoming game as new information comes in. Hopefully the developers will release a trailer soon.
