Japanese Shoot ‘Em Up Dodonpachi: Maximum To Hit App Store This Week

Get your seizure meds refilled, because the latest installment in Japanese developer Cave's space shoot 'em up series is about to hit the App Store - DoDonPachi: Maximum!

In addition to being one of the most enjoyable titles to say out loud, this new game promises to continue the frenetic pace of action that was set with DoDonPachi: Blissful Death and DoDonPachi: Resurrection. Unlike those previous games, this new one was specifically designed for mobile devices. Instead of on-screen buttons, you will be able to unleash your arsenal with gesture controls.

DoDonPachi: Maximum will be a universal app and arrive in the App Store on October 26. Unfortunately, it will also carry a price tag that's common with a lot of Japanese apps. For a limited time, you will be able to get it for $6.99 after the launch. But then the game will increase to $11.99.
