Wii U-exclusive Devil's Third hasn't had an update since earlier this year, but creator Tomonobu Itagaki has recently shared some personal thoughts on the action game's development.

Gematsu reports that Itagaki posted an update on Devil's Third to his Facebook, which held high praise for the title, despite it being in development for years. Saying things such as, "Devil's Third's story mode is greater than that of Ninja Gaiden," and added, "I got an up-close look at the great forerunners Call of Duty, Battlefield, Gears of War, and my beloved Halo. On that basis, we added completely new level of playability that only we can create." Itagaki sets a pretty high standard for his upcoming game. He also said that any style of gamer can enjoy Devil's Third, and that development is going smoothly. You'll also apparently be able to "play your heart out." Whatever that means. Itagaki ended the post saying, "I really want to tell you more, my fans waiting with crushing frustration." Hopefully the next update won't just be blind praise for his own game, and we'll be able to see more of the Devil's Third in action ourselves.

If you're just as excited as the creator, you can follow updates for Devil's Third's, the fusion action-shooter, progress on Itagaki's Facebook. Just be sure to have Google Translate ready if you don't speak Japanese.
