Next week, gamers will finally be able to get their hands on the anticipated shooter from Insomniac, Fuse, when its demo arrives on May 7th.

Since abandoning the safety and comfort of exclusivity with Sony and the PlayStation, Insomniac has been hard at work on its new co-op sci-fi shooter, Fuse. Now going multiplatform for the first time in ages, Insomniac is bringing its trademark shooter sensibilities to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and we'll all be able to test the waters with demo arriving next week.

“When it comes to Fuse, the biggest thing we’ve noticed when sharing it with others for the first time is that playing is believing,” said Ted Price, CEO and founder of Insomniac Games. “Fuse takes four player co-op in a new direction with features you won’t find in other third person shooters: from LEAP where you can jump between each of the four unique agents at will to the experimental Xenotech weapons to the deep RPG-like character progression system. And by the way, all of these features rock for solo players as well. Join us in this brand new universe for a quintessential Insomniac Games experience.”

The demo will work for up to four players online, or for two players split-screen, and will take place in a snowy outpost where the team members are hunting down the source of Fuse.

Will you be downloading the demo next week?
