Sucker Punch Productions, the studio known for the Sly Cooper and Infamous franchises, is the latest Sony-owned development team to have its workforce significantly reduced.

IGN reports that SCEA has confirmed layoffs have taken place at Washington-based Sucker Punch Productions. This has happened just a few months after Sony has dropped many of its workers from its California and UK studios. Sony Santa Monica, known for the God of War series, suffered layoffs this past February, while SCE London, Guerrilla Cambridge and Evolution Studios (all owned by Sony) were also hit with drastic reductions in staff just a month later.

"SCEA can confirm a reduction in workforce has taken place at Sucker Punch Productions," a Sony representative told IGN. "Sucker Punch is appreciative of the tremendous work team members contributed to the inFAMOUS and Sly Cooper series, and wishes them the best in their next endeavors."

Sucker Punch has had tremendous success with the PS4-exclusive, Infamous: Second Son, and is about to release its standalone DLC, Infamous: First Light.
