A trailer was leaked for Hyrule Warriors' upcoming Nintendo 3DS port that was likely meant for E3 2015.

This Japanese debut trailer for the 3DS port of Hyrule Warriors has popped up on YouTube. Nintendo has been trying to remove the trailer, but nothing ever truly disappears off of the Internet, especially from YouTube. This Dynasty Warriors/Zelda hybrid first launched last year for the Wii U. We're sure that a lot of you are thinking that the Nintendo 3DS lacks the power to handle Hyrule Warriors, but it looks like the port is taking the same cel-shaded approach that Super Smash Bros. did for its 3DS version compared to its Wii U counterpart. This is likely done to drastically lower the number of polygons on screen and help maintain a more consistent frame rate, especially since Hyrule Warriors had plenty of frame rate issues on the Wii U. You would think if Nintendo was serious about the New 3DS, Hyrule Warriors would be an exclusive for it, given it being a Wii U game and all.

So what's different this time around? Not much. Fans of The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker should recognize Tetra and King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule as two of the new characters being added (13-year-old spoiler: Daphnes was the King of Red Lions boat). We have a feeling this trailer was meant to be unveiled during the E3 2015 Nintendo Direct presentation. With the Wii U's Zelda game pushed back to 2016 (or later), Nintendo is obviously trying to step up to the plate with more Zelda alternatives. How about Twilight Princess HD for Wii U, Nintendo?

Stay tuned as we'll provide more coverage on the handheld Hyrule Warriors once more information is available.
