Indie hit and critical smash Hotline Miami will be making the jump to consoles when it arrives on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita this spring.

Dennaton Games and Devolver Digital have announced plans to bring the smash hit Hotline Miami to Sony's console and handheld with the help of Abstraction Games. The PSN version will feature CrossBuy, so if you buy it on the PlayStation 3, you can take a copy on the go for the Vita, and your saves will carry over.

There's no firm date in sight yet, but the devs are targeting a spring release window, which isn't that far off. Hotline Miami's fusion of top-down gunplay, an '80s-inspired soundtrack, and stylized presentation really made it stand out on PC last year, so providing more players with a chance to try it out should go over quite well. The game still retails for $9.99 on Steam, so it'll probably be around the same price on PSN.
