Blizzard's presentation at PAX East has revealed a ton of new details about its unique multiplayer online battle arena title as well as a focus on the likes of new playable characters such as Kerrigan, Li Li Stormstout and many more.

Blizzard held a presentation for its upcoming MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, today at PAX East. Even though League of Legends and Defense of the Ancients basically originated from custom maps from Warcraft III, it's only appropriate that Blizzard would try their hand at the genre which pretty much spawned from one of their games.

As we all know, Heroes of the Storm will feature heroes, villains and other major characters spanning from all of Blizzard's franchises, such as Diablo, Warcraft, StarCraft and each of their own lines of sequels and spin-offs (we hope The Lost Vikings are included). Heroes will have additional skins, allowing for multiple selections of the same character. And some of these skins are absolutely hilarious, such as having Stitches the Undead Abombination in a bikini.

Blizzard has also announced that Brightwing the faerie dragon, Zagara the Zerg Broodmother, Murky the Murloc and Li Li the Pandaren are all joining Heroes of the Storm's official roster.

Unfortunately, Heroes of the Storm does not have any established launch window yet, nor does it have any expected date for its beta testing. On the bright side, Heroes of the Storm will be free-to-play upon its release. Blizzard usually incorporates a multitude of players for its beta testing, so the earlier you sign up, the higher your chances are that you may end up in Heroes' beta.

For your viewing pleasure, here are Blizzard's debut trailers for two of HotS' hero characters: Kerrigan, StarCraft 2's Queen of Blades, and Brightwing, a faerie dragon from World of Warcraft. Blizzard has also announced that the upcoming World of Warcraft characters are in development for HotS: Chen Stormstout, Kael'thas the former Blood Elf leader/raid boss and Sylvanas, the Queen of the Undead.
