Earlier this morning, the Apple sleuths over at AppleInsider lived up to their names, breaching the walled fortress at Cupertino and digging up what appears to be a patent that could point to a product like the Apple Watch.

The patent, which obviously has no mention of "smartwatch" anywhere to be found, sports the somewhat dry title of, "Bi-stable spring with flexible display." Okay, so that doesn't have quite the zing as iWatch does. But looking at the pictures included, it appears that they really could be working on something cool. Flexible glass that wraps around your wrist? Hello, future! Or rather, hello 1994?

According to an excerpt from the patent:

In a first equilibrium position they can be flat. The second equilibrium is typically reached by slapping the flat embodiment across the wrist, at which point the bracelet curls around the wrist and stays relatively secure in a roughly circular position.

What do you think about an Apple iWatch? Would you buy one? Let us know in the comments.
