Halo: Spartan Assault Fights its Way to an Xbox One Release Date
The twin-stick shooter previously only available on Windows Phones will make its way to the Xbox One just in time for Christmas.
Microsoft announced on Monday Halo: Spartan Assault would land on Xbox One on Dec. 24. According to Xbox Wire, Spartan Assault will retail for $14.99. The action title starring Sarah Palmer will run at 60fps in 1080p, and will also include all additional content from the mobile version.
Additionally, co-op will be included on the Xbox One. "Co-op will work through Xbox Live and will allow you to play with a friend," said executive producer Dan Ayoub. "We wanted to do something completely new for the game that featured really crazy action against waves of enemies. For this reason, we’re putting you up against the Flood! Players will work together against huge waves of enemies bearing down on them."
It's not Halo 5, but at least the Xbox One will have a Halo title all its own while we wait for bigger and better things. Xbox 360 owners will still have to wait until January 2014 to get their hands on Halo: Spartan Assault.
