A new channel centered around all things Halo is coming to the Xbox One, per an announcement during the Xbox Gamescom 2014 press conference this morning.

This new feature will be creatively called The Halo Channel, and it will act as a central hub for everything a Halo fan could possibly need. You'll be able to watch the 'Halo: Nightfall' live-action series through the channel, as well as watch developer stories and other commentary based on the upcoming Master Chief Collection and Halo 5: Guardians. When both games launch, Master Chief Collection this holiday and Guardians next holiday, you can start the games right from this hub instead of the main Xbox One home screen.

The channel will also feature Twitch streaming with a customized layout designed specifically for Halo matches. The layout will included an Event Feed for in-game happening on the left side, Twitch chat on the right, and a real-time scoreboard below letting both the players and the audience know who's contributing and who need a swift kick in the armor.

Perhaps most importantly, the Halo Channel will be the place to download the upcoming Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta, which was announced to start in late December and run until mid-January. If that doesn't entice you to tune in, we're not sure what else will.
