It looks like Halo 4 will be receiving a Game of the Year Edition in October. What kind of goodies will this edition hold for Halo fans?

An article on IGN features a statement from a Microsoft spokesperson that says:

“A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday.”

This GOTY Edition is set to deliver over $80 in content for players. It will come with Spartan Ops Season 1, War Games Map Pass, Halo 4 Champions Bundle and a set of pre-order and LCE exclusive content. And how much will all of this goodness cost, you might ask? Well, the GOTY Edition will retail for $49.99 on the Xbox 360.

There's no exact date given for the Halo 4 GOTY Edition's release, but it's received a release window of October 2013.
