DrinkBox Studios is bringing its action-packed luchador game Guacamelee to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on April 9th.

The Metroid-vania brawler has one of the most inspiring art styles we've seen in a while, and stands as a testament that indie games can be just as aesthetically appealing as the big budget brethren. Guacamelee will be available for $14.99, but will support CrossBuy (meaning if you buy the PS3 version, you get the Vita version free).

As you can see from the launch trailer below, there's a lot of action, a lot of platforming, and a lot of hyper-crazy colors going on. The Mexican-inspired style really pops off the screen, and immediately makes this game stand out from its more dour, grim competition. The PlayStation is quickly becoming the new hot home for indie games, and it couldn't be happening at a better time for Sony and the devs involved.

Check out the trailer below, and let us know who your favorite luchador is in the comments.
