    Remember Me

Unfortunately somewhat forgotten during the Summer Slum, Remember Me was a great action game with an awesome customizable combo system. It also had a really cool premise, a cyperpunk world where memories are bought, sold, altered, and stolen. It’s kind of like Total Recall, but in a futuristic France, and without Arnold Schwarzenegger and that three-breasted chick.

    Poker Night 2

A lot of people missed this game, sadly. The sequel to the original Poker Night at the Inventory, Poker Night 2, featured great names like Sam from Sam and Max, Brock Samson from the Venture Bros., Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy, ClapTrap from Borderlands 2, and even Glad0s as the dealer! Sure it was basically just a Poker game, but for five bucks it was one of the most hilarious games you could pick up this summer.

    Tales of Xillia

After a nearly two year long wait, Tales of Xillia finally made its way over to the States. Perhaps the best game in the Tales series of this generation, Xillia has an awesome new battle system, a compelling story, and a mish mash of gameplay elements from both the Symphonia, and Destiny teams. Sure, its summer localization was a bit of a fluke, but it is easily one of the best games to come out in the summer slum this year.

    Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon

Why go out to the pool when you can shoot dragons in the face with your cybernetic arm? Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was best described as a video game remix, a brand new property made using the existing engine of another game. It was a risky experiment, but it totally worked, bringing back the raid and survival gameplay of Far Cry 3 with a heavy dose of '80s schlock. As far as summer slum games go, this is one of the best.
