If you're looking forward to playing Grand Theft Auto 5 and taking in the whole experience, you might want to avoid the internet for a good while, since the ending has been leaked online.

In an update on the US PlayStation Blog, Social Media Manager Sid Shuman sheds some light on the leak. It turns out that fans who downloaded the digital pre-order of Grand Theft Auto 5 through the European PlayStation Store were somehow granted access to a few of the game's assets.

As you might expect, some of these assets were posted online, which likely include the ending for the game. We would caution fans who are willing to invest their time and money into the game's narrative to tread lightly when searching for Grand Theft Auto 5 material within the coming weeks.

Sony apologized for the leak and has since removed the digital pre-order file from the European PlayStation Store.

Grand Theft Auto 5 will launch on Sept. 17 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Let us know your thoughts on this story and whether or not you were exposed to any spoiler content over the weekend.
