Godzilla Trailer: The King of the Monsters

Mechagodzilla, Biollante, King Ghidorah, Mothra and even Jet Jaguar appear in this cardboard building-crumbling trailer for Godzilla.

Bandai Namco has posted a new trailer for Godzilla, which features our favorite nuclear lizard fighting all sorts of other kaiju. While it's graphics aren't groundbreaking, it doesn't matter -- it's the King of the Monsters. Godzilla's entire premise (besides fighting other giant monsters) is that a guy in a giant suit ravages miniature versions of Japanese towns, ripping through various cardboard buildings and stomping on toy models of military vehicles. Fans of the Godzilla series already know they're not there for high-end visuals or acting; they just want to see Godzilla kick some Kaiju booty and occasionally spit out white fire.

Godzilla will launch on Dec. 18 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in Japan. Surprisingly, the 2014 version of Godzilla will be a pre-order bonus for the game. Given the success of the Walter White-filled movie, we have a feeling Godzilla will eventually get a western release.
