Be ready to headbutt your way and beat up your bovidae however you'd like as Goat Simulator is gearing up for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 release in August.

The PlayStation Blog announced that Goat Simulator will be baaaaaaashing its head onto the PS4 and PS3 next month. If you've been living under a rock, Goat Simulator is exactly what it sounds like. You play as a goat. The surprising thing here is that this goat has the gift of immortality and is willing to be put through whatever carnage your evil mind can construct. Coffee Stain has all kinds of new aerial tricks and dangers to throw your goat into, including jetpacks, hang gliders and helicopters. While the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series has been on the decline over the past decade, you can still do all kinds of mid-air goat tricks.

We're certainly digging the multiplayer capabilities of Goat Simulator on PlayStation. You're able to have two-player local co-op on the PlayStation 3, but the PS4 will let you have four goats on the same level at the same time. The strangest thing of all would have to be GoatVR, which doesn't even require a $300 virtual reality headset! We're not sure if this is just a first-person mode or what, but a beta version is in the works and will likely be patched into the PlayStation version of the game at a later date.

Goat Simulator will be available on Aug. 11 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
