Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes may have seemed like a glorified demo with long cutscenes, but Gecco Corp's PVC Snake figure will try to get you your money's worth.

Gecco Corp. has unveiled its 1/6 scale PVC Snake statue based on Big Boss' likeness in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. This 13-inch statue was designed by Shinya Yamaoka and based on Masaki Akao's designs with Yoji Shinkawa's supervision (the art director of Kojima Productions). Snake will come with a display base, his normal head, a scarred head, a night-vision goggle-equipped head and an assault rifle. Snake has a pistol in his right hand (a shame it's not the tranquilizer gun) and his CQC knife in his left. There's even an XOF patch behind the statue's base.

We feel that this version of Snake, though thoroughly detailed, just seems a bit off. Based on the pictures, it looks as if he has a peanut head compared to the rest of his body. His hair sticks a bit too far out in the back, which, again, makes his head look small. The elongated neck doesn't help either -- it just makes him look kind of like Bayonetta in his lankiness. We guess that couldn't be avoided, with the interchangeable heads and all.

This figure will cost $198 and will debut in April 2015 at Ultra Tokyo Connection.
