Gearbox has highlighted a set of videos that detail the skills and abilities of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s most morally ambiguous playable character, Nisha.

Five videos, presented by Gamespot, Escapist, Rev3, GameTrailers and IGN, profile the whip-wielding Lawbringer’s “Fan the Hammer,” “Law & Order,” and “The Riflewoman” skill trees. Fan the Hammer focuses on Nisha’s pistols, offering huge perks like increased speed after killing enemies, exploding ammunition and a pickpocket ability that instantly adds dead enemies’ ammo to her gun’s clip. Law & Order provides bonuses for Nisha’s defense and close range attacks, including a system that uses Order stacks (similar to Gaige’s Anarchy ability from Borderlands 2) to reward her for constant combat with additional shields and powered up attacks. The Riflewoman is all about Nisha’s assault and sniper rifle abilities. Abilities in this tree will increase Nisha’s accuracy when firing from the hip, enhance the effectiveness of critical hits and add fire damage to all non-elemental weapons.

Nisha’s special action skill is called Showdown, and it stands to be one of the most powerful abilities ever seen in the Borderlands series. Showdown acts as a short-term auto-aim, allowing Nisha to wipe out enemies without worrying about aiming. In a crowded room full of skags, this ability can be absolutely devastating, especially when paired with certain abilities from the Fan the Hammer skill tree, which increase its duration and effectiveness.

Gearbox has already done similar in-depth looks at two other playable characters from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel; Athena and Wilhelm, and promises a look at the game’s most anticipated character, Claptrap, in the coming weeks. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is scheduled for an Oct. 14 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
