Gaming In Color is aiming to raise $125,000 on Kickstarter to fund a new documentary that will explore, "the queer side of gaming." The campaign, which as of press time has 27 backers, is attempting to reach its goal by April 19th.

The project is being produced by Anne Clements, who produced the films Ping Pong Playa, which was directed by Oscar winning filmmaker Jessica Yu, and the 2006 feature Quinceanera, which took home the Sundance Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

For a minimum pledge of five dollars, Gaming In Color supporters will have their names listed on a thank you page on their website. For two backers who have deep pockets, a $10,000 pledge will get them a trip to Los Angeles for a private screening and dinner, and pretty much every item under the sun that's offered from this project. Plus, who doesn't love their pixel loving Goal World Map?
