Fieldrunners 2 Update Includes New Towers, Items, IAP Store and Lite Version
Front and center you maggots! There's a new update to Fieldrunners 2 HD and this one's gonna be big. So be on your toes and look alive! There's no room for sissy boys in this man's Fieldrunner Army!
We were excited about the Fieldrunners 2 update back in October that plopped down a big 'ol scary Halloween tower into the fray. Shortly after that, the iPhone version saw an update that added in a "Coin Store" option to trade in real money for Fieldrunners bucks. With the new iPad version, that option has now been included, as well as some seasonal treats and a number of other additions/improvements, including more new towers!
One of those new towers is called the Polymorph Tower. As you might surmise from the name, it has the power to turn the Fieldrunners into different kinds of animals. Apparently, you can turn a helicopter into an eagle. Now we're cooking with gas! Speaking of that, the other new tower is called the Napalm Tower ... kinda speaks for itself.
A nice new holiday addition is the Santa Strike, which lets you radio up to Mr. Kringle's Sleigh and call for an order of hot, ribboned death to be rained down. Another item is the Frostinator, which you can place on the field like a mine. When a Fieldrunner moves over it, there will be a cold effect that will turn him and anyone in the blast radius into a slow-moving snowman. And who doesn't love a little bit of snowman carnage?
If you haven't played it yet, there's no time like the present to check out Fieldrunners 2.
If you need more convincing, check out some footage of the game in action. Note -- this is not footage from the recent update:
